$100 notes amounting to hundreds of thousand US Dollars.
A senior UAE police officer revealed that the suspects usually convince their victims with those fake bills that they could
double their money and make them rich. It was gathered that the duo usually meet people in Sharjah and convince them that they
had the ability to double money.
Tips about the atrocious act got to the CID quarters.
A team of CID officers verified the complaints and
raided their apartment. The suspects were arrested red-handed with the
fake currency. Tools and bags used in the
operation were also recovered from them.
Upon interrogation, the suspects told the police that they brought the
fake currency from abroad to perpetrate the act
The police said the two suspects are in the UAE
on a visit visa. The police has referred the case
for further prosecution.
