Lagos state Court of Appeal to revert to the
the judgement of the Magistrate Court of
paying N100,000 fine without a prison term.
She filed in this appeal following the judgement
of Lagos state high Court which sentenced her to
five years imprisonment for the death of one
Dr. Giwa Suraj.
She was sentenced to five years imprisonment
by Justice Deborah Oluwayemi of a Lagos state High Court
for reckless driving which caused the
death of Dr. Giwa Suraj in a car accident
along the Lekki-Epe expressway, Lagos
on February 26th 2006.
At the hearing of the appeal yesterday
January 28th, which was presided over by
Justice Ndukwe- Anyanwu, he reserved judgement in the
appeal after counsel adopted their
written addresses.The court demanded for
Ibinabo's presence who was not in court,
before judgement will be delivered, adding
that the date of judgment would be
communicated to the different parties.
